How do I check-in using the GIS Day Website?

You can complete the check-in process for any event using the TAMU GIS Day website while that event is on-going. Follow these simple steps.

  1. First, create an account on the TAMU GIS Day Website.
  2. Second, make sure that you are logged into your account on the TAMU GIS Day Website.
  3. Third, find the event you are attending and click on it to open its details page.
  4. Finally, while the event it underway, click on the Check-in button that is visible on the event details page. This will only work during the time period of the event.

How do I checkin using the GIS Day App(s)?

You can complete the check-in process for any event using the TAMU GIS Day website while that event is on-going. Follow these simple steps.

  1. First, create an account on the TAMU GIS Day Website.
  2. Second, download the correct app for your phone. Download and install the TAMU GIS Day App for iOS or Android.
  3. Third, launch the app on your phone and enter your username and password to log into your account.
  4. When the app loads, click on the Check-In menu item to open the QR Code Scanner.
  5. Finally, look around the event for a QR code, then scan it with the app on your phone. When you get confirmation, you are now checked in. The QR code will look like the following:
